The 9 Best Pool Halls in Richmond (2026)
Richmond’s cue sports scene ranges from neighborhood game rooms to fuller-service entertainment centers, and this guide collects the most-discussed options in and around the city. The ranking is built using Google review data and updated for 2026; our method applies a Bayesian-style weighting so each business’s average rating is balanced against its number of reviews. That helps highlight spots that are both well-rated and widely reviewed. The list mixes dedicated pool halls, bars with tables, supply shops and larger venues across Richmond and nearby Midlothian, giving several choices whether you want competitive play or a casual night out.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right pool hall for my visit?
Look for recent photos and current reviews to judge table condition and atmosphere, check whether the venue is primarily a pool hall or a bar with tables, and consider proximity and hours. If you play competitively, prioritize places that mention leagues or regular open play in reviews or their online listing.
What should I expect to pay to play pool?
Costs vary by location, time of day and table type; many halls charge by the hour or per game, and bars may have different rates during peak times. Always confirm pricing with the venue before you go to avoid surprises.
What should I check before booking a table or hosting an event?
Call ahead to confirm table availability, reservation or deposit policies, and any minimum spending requirements for private bookings. Ask about equipment rental, space for guests, and cancellation rules so your group’s needs are covered.
How was this ranking created?
This list is based on Google review data updated for 2026 and uses a Bayesian-style weighted score that balances each business’s average rating with its number of reviews. That method gives more stable rankings by reducing the impact of small numbers of reviews while still valuing high ratings.
